This policy explains what information CheckMySum (checkmysum.com) handles when you use the site. The short version

  • You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use a calculator.
  • The numbers you type into a calculator are worked out in your browser. They are not sent to us or saved.
  • We use analytics to count visits, and advertising to pay for the site. Both can use cookies.
  • You can refuse advertising and analytics cookies, and the calculators still work.

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to fix the problem you report. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the servers that deliver this site record technical details of each request, such as the IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

We use an analytics service to understand which pages are used and how people find them. It records things like pages viewed, the country you are visiting from, and the type of device. We use this in total figures, not to identify you.
